Apple seeds new stuff

Last week Apple has released developer builds to most likely last version update to their most OSX version 10.4 (Tiger). With 10.5 (Leopard) slated for Oct-07 release, 10.4.11 would in all probabilities be the final curtain for Tiger.

There are different builds for PowerPC and Intel:
- Build 8S155 (for PowerPC Macs)
- Build 8S2155 (for Intel Macs)

Apple also released a minor update to Leopard's developer builds which include a new Software Update functionality.

AppleTV scheduled to be released on 20.Mar.07

Looks like Apple is finally doing it - its going to release its much touted "living room" invasion ammo called AppleTV on 20.Mar.

Lot of sites are mentioning that customers in North America are confirming that Apple has finally charged their credit cards for the AppleTV amount which was slated to start delivery on 20.Mar.

Let's hope that this ushers a new ear in living room entertainment - all the best SJ!

PS: I am waiting anxiously for this to me made available in my home country (India), even though we don't have HD channels, woudl still love to use it as soon as I can :)

Apple has released an updated build 9A283 of their upcoming OSX 10.5 release. The update seems to fix some bugs like:

- Significant user interface changes to iCal
- 3D audio cues to indicate locations of items on the screen in the VoiceOver screen reader
- Basic editing in Preview

Rumors are afloat that Apple just might release this beast in time for MWSF-07. Guess, we'll need to wait and watch if Mr. Jobs takes the thunder away from the other Steve's Vista release :)
